| Before I go to sleep (yes, I'm still awake from last night - yikes), I need to make a list of things for which I'm grateful. I haven't done a very good job lately of meditating on the blessings in my life, and it's so important to keep them at the forefront of my mind.
-A healthy body and mind
-A heart filled to bursting with passion and love and a desire to serve
-A safe place to call home
-Having homes and families to be part of wherever I go
-Technology that lets me see and talk with friends all over the world
-A good pet to cuddle when I'm feeling sad
-Medicine to help keep me well
-A loving, forgiving God who keeps me going when everything else has failed
These things are all gifts. None of them are mine - they've just been loaned out to me for awhile.
God,
Please show me the best ways to use Your blessings. Show me Your will and grant me the strength and courage to follow it. Help me remember that it is in my weakness that You are made perfect, and that I can do all things through You. I love You. | | |
| Hey readers (are there any left??)! I wanted to invite you to check out my new site, Emotionally Retarded Boyfriend. t's just a fun/silly site (but feel free to write about serious things, too) about those times that you STILL can't figure out what in the world your crush/​significant other was thinking. Please take some time to have a look, leave some comments and submit your own stories! I'd also appreciate it if you passed it on to any friends you think might enjoy it, as I'd like to branch out from just the people I know.
